CHALLENGE DETAILS: How can National Crittenton and the Crittenton family of agencies harness the power of social media and other online/web based strategies to instigate action on the part of the general public about the epidemic of violence against girls and young women raging across our country? How do we take our social media campaigns to scale? Why do we seem to care more about violence and girls in Third World countries than in our own back yard and how do we use this information to make a difference here?
ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW: The National Crittenton Foundation and its family of agencies support girls, young women, and their families living at the margin of the American dream overcome major obstacles rooted in circumstances not of their own making. Through no fault of their own, the majority of these girls and young women have experienced child sexual, physical and emotional abuse or persistent neglect.
